Calling all those who love blues/fusion partner dancing: Let’s spend a week at Leviathan Studio on Lasqueti Island to go deeper into our dance!

Activities will include:

-Sharing and practicing dance skills during the day

-Contact-improv classes with Mark Young!

-Social Dancing every night

-Enjoying the big sauna!

-Jumping in the cold ocean

-Eating yummy organic food!

-Aro-Yoga, colloring books, and anything else we feel like doing!

Leviathan is a visionary, off-grid dance studio on Lasqueti Island. It takes about 5 hours to get to Lasqueti Island from Vancouver by car. The ferry from French Creek on Vancouver Island to Lasqueti is for foot-passengers only. You have to leave your car behind. Note, the ENTIRE ISLAND is off-grid. Everybody makes their own electricity!

The things that make Leviathan so special:

-It’s super rustic and hippie in a good way

-SPRUNG wood dance floor!

-Wood-fired sauna and pond!

-Organic food prepared for us by an awesome team!

-It’s in the middle of a rain forest!

SIZE and VISION: Leviathan can accommodate up to 30 of us. Our vision is to bring together a group committed to practicing and deepening dance skills. We will have a white board where participants can offer workshops in anything they feel they can share.

LODGING: Camping. There is a very rustic room for a few people above the sauna. There are spaces to set up hammocks and mats around the studio itself. The best bet is to bring your own tent, or to share one with somebody cuddly!

FOOD: Mark Young and his team of helpers will be cooking us mostly organic food 3 meals/day, plus snacks! Mark can accommodate vegetarian and vegan, but he cannot meet all special diet requests. Send me a private message if you have special diet needs.

COST: The cost of the retreat, including mostly organic food cooked for us, will be about $275.
