Residency for Experienced Dancers in Contact Improvisation, Aug6-26, 2017. Please arrive on Sunday, Aug6. The Residency will begin on Monday morning. This is a small group of committed dancers wishing to explore curiosities with the group. Participants have the opportunity to lead, inquire, experiment, study with the group for three sessions per day including evening jams. $1500Canadian includes dormitory, camping, all meals, taxes, and transportation on Lasqueti Island to and from the ferry.
This has been a deeply rewarding event in past years. Elise Knudson is returning to facilitate the Residency. Karen Nelson will teach ‘Tuning Scores’ during the 2nd week and Sara Shelton Mann is returning in the 3rd week.
Participants wishing to participate must apply with brief outlines of experience and interest. A deposit is required with your application. Participants will be selected by May1st, 2017.
